La Hija Del Mariachi Novela Dvd Full

"I fell in love with Mexico in the novel, La Hija del Mariachi. It made me want to go there. I know it's not all true but I wasn't thinking about that when it happened. I was really touched by this book." La Hija del Mariachi is one of the most popular novels in Spain, and its protagonist offers a fascinating perspective on life in Mexico City - from the perspective of a young woman who has just moved to live there with her family after being jobless for an exorbitant period of time. For innumerable readers throughout Spain, this love affair with Latin America began here, during their read through of this beautifully written novel by Rosa Montero. Published in 2003 by Random House Mondadori, La Hija del Mariachi was Montero's second novel after her 1985 debut. Its protagonist is "La Chica del Mariachi," an impoverished young woman who will do anything to keep her family together after the death of her father, the only one who worked for years generating income for his relatives. The sudden arrival of her grandfather unbalances things even further, prompting the young woman to seek employment at a strip club called "The Copas Negras" (The Black Glasses) so she can support not only herself, but also her mother and grandfather. Through blind luck she becomes the "matadora" (killer) of the place, earning a much-needed salary to help her mother with basic expenses. Everything changes when her dreamboy, an uncouth man named Juan Paquete appears in town. As fate would have it, this street-tough man just happens to be La Chica's one and only Mariachi. It is love at first sight for the young woman, who has never believed in its possibilities, but Juan Paquete is too crude and rowdy for his lady. The two go on a date together, but she has no idea what to do to please him. So one night she makes him her "mayordomo" (girl's servant), waiting for the moment when he'll realize that love is not an act of weakness, but rather a commitment. It is then that Juan Paquete makes his move, and the rest of the story unfolds. La Hija del Mariachi is Rosa Montero's second novel; her first was entitled Japón Verde (Green Japan). Both novels are set in Mexico City and feature characters who are both devout Catholics and Mexican citizens living between different cultures while struggling to make ends meet in difficult economic times. Both novels also share the common element of love - it is the character's main motivation in each instance. La Hija del Mariachi is set in Mexico City during the early 1990s, when the economic crisis of that country had reached its peak. Montero's novel illustrates how incredibly rich and poor people coexist in the same space, while trying to build a better future for themselves by coming up with creative solutions to their pressing economic problems. This is particularly interesting because today, Mexico has become one of Latin America's fastest growing economies; but back then, things were different. eccc085e13
